GETTING THINGS DONE

Building a better Orléans & Cumberland

RE-ELECT STEPHEN BLAIS

Building a better Orléans & Cumberland

Steps in the right direction

Husband, father, sports enthusiast, arts supporter and Councillor for Cumberland Ward

For two straight elections I’ve been humbled by your overwhelming support for me to be your City Councillor for Cumberland Ward. Being your voice at city hall is only surpassed by the birth of my son, Stephen junior and my marriage to Marta.

I was also honoured when Ottawa City Council named me Chair of the Ottawa Transit Commission, a role that allowed me to vastly improve one of our priorities and continue being the champion for LRT to Trim, a decade sooner than planned.

The dedication of much of my professional life to serving the residents of Orléans and Cumberland as a amateur sports coach, community association president, school board trustee and city councillor has provided much joy to my life. I’m proud to have led the charge to help reduce commute times, expand recreation options, build new schools and help keep the City affordable for families.

I’m looking forward to seeing you in the community and hearing your views on how our community and the city can continue moving forward.
Stephen Blais

$750M to improve quality of life

Before Stephen was elected, a 2006 City of Ottawa study showed only $100 million had been invested in east end infrastructure in the previous 15 years (since 1991). In seven years, Stephen has secured over $750 million in infrastructure investment in Orléans & Cumberland.

Record $ for rural Cumberland Ward

Since Stephen was re-elected in 2014 the City of Ottawa has invested more in infrastrcuture renewal per kilometer of rural road in the rural areas of Cumberland Ward than in any other rural ward in Ottawa.

Major roadways have been resurfaced including:

HWY 174
Wilhaven Drive
Colonial Road
Dunning Road
Rockdale Road

“We’ve seen progress in rural Cumberland Ward and Stephen’s continued support to improve rural roads is why he has my vote.” Gerry Lalonde, last-Mayor of Cumberland.
