Results that matter
IN OUR FIRST 8 YEARS, WE’VE MADE AMAZING PROGRESS TOWARD AN EVEN BETTER ORLÉANS & CUMBERLAND!
Harnessing the energy and ambition of our community, we have been able to make huge strides, ensuring that every resident has access to great opportunity, prosperity and quality of life – all while bringing in lower tax changes than ever before.
I’m proud of what we have been able to accomplish over the past 8 years. These accomplishments however are building blocks of what we need to continue doing, ensuring that Orléans & Cumberland continue to be great places to live and raise a family.

ARE YOU READY TO MAKE BIG THINGS HAPPEN?
Since being elected in October 2010, Stephen Blais has delivered results that matter for Orléans & Cumberland.
A 2006 City of Ottawa study showed only $100 million had been invested in east end infrastructure in the previous 15 years (since 1991). In seven years, Stephen has secured over $750 million in infrastructure investment in Orléans & Cumberland.
If re-elected on October 22, 2018 Stephen will bring the experience, dedication and passion for our community back to City Hall and continue to make big things happen!
“Orléans’s best hope in the current crop of politicians is Cumberland councillor Stephen Blais.” – Ottawa Citizen
Stephen’s record of accomplishment is unparalleled in Orléans.
From commute times to park construction. From keeping taxes affordable to protecting core city services. Stephen has fought hard to protect Orléans and Cumberland and ensure our community gets its fair share.
“On a council that is often criticized for being too cordial, Blais is one of its most tenacious, outspoken and, on occasion, antagonistic members. (But in a good way.)” – Joanne Chianello, Ottawa Citizen
We have a choice. Orléans & Cumberland can go back to the way it was: Waiting 7 years for the park in the neighbourhood to be built. Massive new subdivisions without roads and transit to get people to work. Roads that are left to fall apart. Rural communities ignored and forgotten by City Hall. Frivolous lawsuits that delay progress and cost taxpayers dearly.
Or we can continue to deliver results that matter: LRT to Orléans, 12 new parks, new and expanded transit, world class recreation amenities, roads and sidewalks that keep us connected and high paying jobs so more of us can work in the community we call home.
This election is about the future. And the choice is clear. Do we want a community that’s just fine, and even left out? Or do we want a community that continues to grow with world class recreational facilities and economic opportunity?
